HAYSTACKS (sold)

This oil painting of haystacks represents historical rural Ireland which has now almost vanished from rural living and farming.
It was an enjoyable social gathering of neighbouring farmers to come together to harvest the hay and showed rural communities helping each other during this busy period. They always celebrated in the meadows when the harvest was completed and families enjoyed the times together in the meadows.
